Blindspott - Blindspott (Full Album) HD

Monday's blog-post was about the worst songs you have to hear - and I mentioned one Phlex blindspott music tune in my list, The Naked and Famous song Young Blood.

But the comments that mounted made me realise we could phlex blindspott music a separate post about the awful songs from New Zealand phlex blindspott music infiltrate the culture. This is that post.

I scanned the comments from Monday's post and saw a few songs mentioned featuring New Zealand artists; some I agreed with - some I disagreed with. But it made me realise that New Zealand's awful music deserved its own post.

Young Blood will still be on my list, obviously. But my phlex blindspott music has been jogged, there are other offending items. Again, we're talking about songs that have been hammered by radio, appeared on TV - in ads mostly, but maybe in TV shows or in films; songs you cannot avoid. Opshop's song, One Day is definitely a contender. Ew - this "expression of you" sentiment is cloying at best. At worst it's hand-in-your-testicles, I-am-no-longer-a-man songwriting. To put it bluntly, it's James Blunt - at his worst.

There should be no way the members of Opshop can hold their head high after this song; it's the negation of why they got into making music, surely? It's an excuse for a song hiding behind a Hallmark greeting card sentiment in place of a chorus. It's hideous. It's sell-your-stereo stuff; as in if you even know someone who admits to actually liking this song you should sell your stereo to fund the terrorism operative necessary to remove them from the face of the earth.

I'm assuming she must, but you'd never know it from her songs. This hideous song-as-advertisement is, I would posit, borderline racist, given its titled Aotearoa and yet we never hear that word the whole way through the song. We just hear the words "New Zealand" and then whatever language it is Carr sings for the rest of the song. It loosely translates as: I say Icebreaker - I basically mean any brand at all. As is the way here. Remember - for the purposes of funding, New Zealand is spelt best when it's best spelt: Blindspott, Phlex - oh where to begin when discussing how god-awful this song is?

Well, we could start with the cod-reggae groove. We should probably point out that a nu-metal band indulged phlex blindspott music pot-smoking audience with this attempt at cod-reggae. Someone has had the knives on. What a joke. This band's greatest hit was when they broke up; it caused me to hit my own head against the bed-post.

I didn't want it just be a dream. I need to wake up and smell the promise of a new day that had - you know - not been promised to me! And I needed to do that quick-smart. Oh happy day! So - there you go, easy-as, I've named four of the phlex blindspott music songs from New Zealand that phlex blindspott music been forced on me; all songs that New Zealand radio has lapped up and spat out in my general direction.

All songs that local TV shows have used; all songs that the mass market has decided, in phlex blindspott music way or another, to be a hit. It's sad, isn't it? It's really tragic. Might as well add to this that all of these songs have phlex blindspott music NZ On Air phlex blindspott music.

On Monday when I mentioned the worst songs I've had to hear I had a top or bottom five. So I need one more. Well this part's easy.

I took on board the comments from Monday's post - and I have to agree. An exercise in vacuity, Always on My Mind is a grass-roots chant that tells a lie to its audience.

It's lower than cod-reggae; it is a hamfisted skank of a tune. But it not only strikes the box of cloyingly sentimental lyrics, in a laughing-all-the-way-to-the-bank way, it actually tells a lie - it tells the audience that "you got me singing with some melody". There is no melody to this one-note idea of a song. There is no melody. It then twists this for the sake of a rhyme - they do that all the time - and it suggests, "you got me singing with some harmony".

There is no harmony here either. This is the sort of song that will ensure that BBQ-reggae has a payday long after Fat Freddy's Drop admit that it was all a scam, and that Mu was just standing there pressing down one button that made the rest of them sway to and fro and so for minutes before exhaling. This is the sort of song that makes me angry that our taxpayer-fuelled arts funding is wasted. This is, and I don't believe I am overstating this, the type of song that makes me embarrassed to be a New Zealander.

I challenge you to come up with a list of songs phlex blindspott music than these. Can it be done? I doubt it. Good luck to the person who can think of songs worse than these. Also, for the record, I tried to think of a single Autozamm song for this list. Fortunately, there wasn't a single one that was memorable.

Now it's your turn. I want to know what you think the worst Kiwi songs that you have had to endure are. And phlex blindspott music you reach for your invective, hold your trigger-finger.

I recently praised my favourite songs from this country. And we created a great list that day - your comments adding to mine. But you can't have the good without the bad.
